SocialWorks update January 13, 2015
Hello SocialWorks Families and Participants,
We had an exciting week back at SocialWorks!
As you may know, this year SocialWorks is taking a more business-like approach, as we are focusing heavily on future independent success in the working sectors. To prepare us in starting our own mini-business we have been learning about different parts of a business and employment to aid us in the future.
WE HAVE NOW DECIDED ON OUR PRODUCT TO SELL WITHIN OUR VERY OWN TRADE SHOW! Woo hoo!
The SocialWorks team presents: EMBRACELETS – “Embrace the difference” (slogan pending)
Essentially, over the next couple of weeks, we will be working on creating several different types of bracelets, styled and designed to compliment various disability awareness. We will work as a team to product, advertise, in preparation to sell them to family, friends and the community. Funds will go towards sustaining DramaWay programs in the future.
The team is extremely excited to get working on our business, and thus it becomes more and more important that participants are there each and every week. Once again please contact ADINA directly by e-mail or cell if participants are unable to attend and CC our office when applicable at firstname.lastname@example.org
This week we will continue to hammer away at our business ideas, as well as being taught Workplace Hygiene by Madison Burrell, our soon-to-be Creative Drama Assistant.
See you all on Friday!
