ExpressionWorks Update – November 5, 2015
Wow! We had a terrific final crafty arts class with lots of leadership skills being put into action!
Noah joined us for his first ExpressionWorks experience, and bravely broke ground already as a stretch leader for our seated stretch routine. It was also a treat to have our Helper Lily lead us in the leadership song on her ukulele. We love having volunteers and staff on board who have so much talent. Everyone took turns conducting, singing, and writing lyrics out. We also had a blast integrating shakers and drummed to keep our voices in rhythm.
During our snack time, Noah serenaded us with his Michael Buble cover which made us all dance, sway and sing along.
Anna then took leadership during the next phase and led us in making her snowy owl craft! Our team is so proud of her teaching talents and the care she took in guiding all her friends step by step.
On the other crafty table, leaders worked alongside dedicated staff and volunteers to make their own leadership nature mobile. A highlight of the evening was when we hung words that define us as leaders, leaves, beads and pinecones from sticks collected in nature.
Both crafts turned out beautifully and reflect the talents of our ExpressionWorks team. Amazing crafting everyone!!
Now let’s not forget that next week starts our culinary arts hours!
And remember we are encouraging everyone to tell their friends about our upcoming November 19th open class! We really hope you can share and spread the news as we need at least two more participants to enroll by the New Year. Your help is really appreciated. Please RSVP so we have enough ingredients to go around.
