The Hopeful Hearts, is a lively stage production about overcoming obstacles with positivity and the value of true friendship. It’s dazzled with music and dance numbers to transport you on a memorable and emotionally-evoking journey! In this story of hope, we grow to love unlikely heroes for their strength and courage. This show will tug at your heart strings, make you laugh and cry, but above all leave you feeling uplifted and inspired! Directed by DramaWay Senior Staff Team; Lizz Hodgson, Morgan Joy, Alanna Balicki, Adam Bailey & Danielle Strnad.
Choreography by Morgan Joy.

RhythmWorks West troupe choreographed by Brooke Banning showcases a series of songs that explore the little monster in all of us. A lyrical number choreographed to Lana Del Rey’s Young and Beautiful explores how pride can be our downfall; then the group shows off their hip hop skills with Frank Ocean’s Super Rich Kids. We turn the lights down and the heat up with Hozier’s Take Me To Church; a swing dance to This is How We Do by Katy Perry parodies our inclination for gluttony and excess; and rage and pure energy take over the stage in Matt & Kim’s Now. But a waltz to Shawn Mendes’s Life of the Party reminds us that it is the ugliness, the glorious imperfection, that makes us human.

RhythmWorks East showcases a series of dance numbers that focus on the theme of resilience in us all. Choreographed by Morgan Joy, this troupe explores connecting with each dancer’s inner strength while also offering dancers the freedom to express emotions through playing with rhythm. The wide array of dance numbers will highlight and incorporate each dancer’s natural creative ability. Twice the first time reminds us of the fast-paced society we live in, while I follow Rivers – I follow you, Deep Blue Ocean Baby is a high energy dance that shows support for one another. Never Tear us Apart is a partner dance about love and connecting with others. Hot Lunch Jam allows us to use our bodies as moving instruments and a vessel for different sounds and beats. We fearlessly perform a tap number to On Broadway with a hint of jazz. Sia brings to light the vulnerability in us all with a touching modern dance piece. Rappers Delight shows off our hip hop moves, while The Muffin Man features our dancers as comedians. Lastly, we finish off with the popular song Let It Go helping us to shake off the winter blues and warming up the theatre with a fun musical theatre number.
