DramaWorks Rehearsal Tools

For all of those unable to access the rehearsal tools, we have added them on a YouTube Playlist so that it is more convenient for you.
Here is the link:
We are passing along some rehearsal resources on our google drive for at home practice for those who are familiar with that also. If not, just use the Youtube link above.

In the Google folder (for those not accessing YouTube) you will find a tutorial to help the Lunites learn their parts. Keep in mind our Royal Lunites are both speaking while also using some sign language. This has been an exciting challenge but our actors are rising to the occasion and doing a wonderful job.

There is also the song (Oh Luna) for anyone playing a Royal Lunite or Royal Queen Luna. The words are in the scripts. We also have the Count on Me Song attached for the Star Crew/Star Fleet (Full first Verse & Chorus) and Lunites (Chorus only).

Thanks for doing at home rehearsals so we can ensure everyone is familiar with their scenes. The Starcrew Team does more individual based lines, therefore a tutorial is not needed other than for the Count On Me song.

ExpressionWorks update April 21/2017

What another amazing fun night that included Puppetry, Tongue Twisters, Songs, and a Talk Show with experts on various topics of interest!
The evening started with the usual Stretch Circle. The group was small and the staff trickled in through the evening despite the rainy weather.
Communication circle brought in a lot of laughter and silliness especially with two of the tongue twisters chosen. The group sang two songs which everyone really enjoyed. One was a repeat from last week and the other was a new song where the puppets introduced themselves using different voices and sang a song about friendship.
The mood had been set for the second half of the evening. The puppets played with expressing the intensity of their different emotions with the help of a conductor. Later on, one by one, each puppet was introduced as an expert on various topics hosted on a talk show. The rest of the puppets had a chance to ask questions or make comments. Some of the conversations and the rapport between the puppets was hilarious and silly.
You know you have had a great time when on the way home you cannot stop smiling and laughing just thinking about all that had transpired during the ExpressionWorks class.

SingingWorks Vocalists – Update – Song List!

Hello SingingWorks Vocalists,

SocialWorks Update

Hello All!

We hope you enjoyed your extra-long Easter Break! As a reminder our spring session starts back up today at Youth 180 Merge inside the Sheridan Centre from 6:15-8:15pm.
This term we are going to take a more drama-game based social interaction approach, as many of our returnees have done our life-skills programming for several years. This term we will focus more on social interaction between one another as well as tying in life-skills – but it will not be as academic as in the past.
There will be information on our fun bowling night to follow!
We look forward to seeing you all there!
